Designed With Your Family In Mind

We know that for many parents, the biggest question when visiting a new church is: "Will my kids be safe and happy?" At First Southern Pomeroy, our First Kids ministry is more than just childcare. It is a place where your children will experience the love of Christ through age-appropriate Bible teaching, engaging worship, and a whole lot of fun.

Sunday Mornings

9:30am-10:30am

The Sunday 9:30 is part of our First Table groups and dedicated to age specific classes for our First Kids to learn Bible lessons in smaller group settings focused on the current phase they are in to help them learn Bible lessons and how to apply them.

10:45am-12:00pm

The First Kids Worship is our time of bringing kids into an interactive hands on worship experience that teaches worship isn't just for mom and dad but for all of us. Lessons are brought to life and applied in a way that shows God uses people no matter where they come from or how old they are.

Wednesday Evenings

7:00pm-8:00pm

Wednesday Night First Kids (7:00 PM)
Join us mid-week for an interactive time of Bible teaching, games, and community. It’s the perfect mid-week "recharge" for kids in school as we reinforce that God created them with purpose and they are loved!

Your Child’s Safety is Our Priority

We take the trust you place in us seriously. To ensure a safe environment for every child:

     • Background Checks: Every First Kids volunteer undergoes a thorough background screening.

     • The Two-Adult Rule: No child is ever left alone with a single adult.

     • Secure Check-In: Our digital check-in system provides matching security tags for parents and children.

     • Clean Environments: All rooms and toys are sanitized weekly to keep our kids healthy.
